The bad news is...we do not have any more room to accommodate more families. If you are looking for homeschool support we can help point you to another group that might have existing spaces. We are also willing to help families start new groups. If you've ever considered this, PLEASE, contact us! Don't forget about checking the OCHEC web site for groups in your area, www.OCHEC.com
Blessings on your homeschooling endeavor!

It's official! We've completed enrollment for our 5th school year of SHINE. We've grown from a handful of families to a small army. The first fall we offered PE, art and choir. We divided the kids by ages, into only 2 groups. This year we have PE (4 sessions), art (4 sessions), choir, Hands-on-Science (2 sessions), Science is FUN, sewing, character class, bible study, drama (3 sessions), stagecraft (2 sessions), leadership characteristics, crafts (2 sessions), geography and world religions, boys adventure class, Spanish, babysitting, book discussion, yearbook and 2 classes for our moms!!! Whew! That's a lot of juggling especially for a facility with only 8 useable rooms! Over the past four school years we've offered violin, guitar, percussion, Financial Peace, Lego Club, poetry, photography, graphic design, fencing, speech, civics, sign language, home economics, ministry skills and dance! We've enjoyed the State Fair, Leonardo's, the zoo, Harn Homestead, a trip to the Creation Museum in KY, roller skating, bowling, ice skating, caroling, performing for the Republican Women's Club, Sam Noble Museum of Natural History, Dr. Seuss's birthday, Andy Alligator's Fun Park, multiple trips to the Oklahoma State Capitol, Redhawk's baseball, Science Museum Oklahoma and the Museum of Osteology. Our drama students have presented "Neverland", "Get Smart", "Mr. Toad's Mad Adventures", "The Grinch", "Willy Wonka" and "A Christmas Carol." It's been a great 4 years! Praise the Lord from whom ALL blessings flow! It's always good to take time to recount and remember all He has done. Out of a grateful and thankful heart I look forward to this fifth year of SHINE.

SHINE families and prospective SHINE families, we have an ever growing waiting list for the fall, twenty-one families to be exact. We would be thrilled to assist any family or families interested in leading a support group or co-op to establish a new one. We have had great success with SHINE and are so thankful for the past 4 years. But, we don't have the facility or resources to continue adding new families. Please help us get the word out! We are willing to mentor a new leadership team and a new start-up group! What an exciting problem to have! Homeschooling in Oklahoma is growing! Families are growing and God's work is continuing!

Although the fall hasn't officially been laid to rest, we will begin spring enrollment for current SHINE members on Tuesday, December 18. The spring semester starts on Tuesday, January 8 at 9:30 at Waterloo Nazarene. If you are not a current member, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to be considered for membership and enrollment. There is currently at waiting list for new member spring enrollment. Membership will be taken in the order interest was received. At the time of enrollment the $25 membership fee and $20 facilities fee must be paid to hold your child/children's place/places in classes. The remainder of the class fees are due by January 15. If your child is currently enrolled in a year long class, you do not have to re-enroll them. You do have to un-enroll them if you wish to discontinue that class. Please remember that enrollment is a two step process. One, click on the enrollment tab, find the class you want to enroll in and click on the sign up link, place your child's name on the class sign up sheet. Two, pay for the class by clicking the paypal tabs on the right hand side of the page. Paying for the class does not enroll your child. For more answers to questions please email us at email@example.com and watch for specific emails about enrollment.
